Great place for young kids!

We have a season pass to Claws N Paws since we love it so much. It's a good small zoo for younger kids who don't need the size of a major zoo. We love being able to get up close and personal with the turtles, deer, Lory parrots and giraffe. It only takes around an hour and a half to walk all the loops in the zoo with small kids, so it's not overwhelming for them. The enclosures are a bit small, but the animals seem healthy. Tips: bring boots if it's rained recently. Bring your own picnic lunch, snack bar is limited. Make sure the kids don't run, the paths are mostly on hills with loose gravel.
PROS: feed the giraffe and Lory parrots,
CONS: very muddy if it's rained recently, no running water on site, limited food
Feed a real Giraffe!!!!!

My kids loved going here! You do need an all-terrain stroller, but the effort is worth it. They get to see the animals close up and even in the dead of summer it's not too hot because almost everything is in the woods, so no direct sun. They have a small snack stand where you can grab a hot dog or soda and it wasn't too expensive either, a nice surprise!
