Digital Asylum Sound Recording Studio

Owner/Engineer John Salk opened Digital Asylum Sound in April 2008. John has worked professionally in the audio industry for close to 20 years after graduating from the Institute of Audio Research, NYC in 1992. He began his career in Post Production working with clients such as NBC, Nickelodeon, HBO, VH1 and MTV to name a few. He went on to work in film. Editing, mixing and designing sound effects for studios like Fox Searchlight Films. Since then he has won many awards for his work including the Grand Jury Award for Best Documentary at the Sundance Film Festival and an Emmy for Best Variety & Musical Special for the Disney Channel. Mission

The studio is equipped with a state of the art Pro Tools HD system and Digidesigns C/24 control surface for a pristine signal path. Add to that high end micrphones and outboard gear and you have a studio equipped to handle the most demanding clients. As anyone knows, a well appointed studio is nothing without quality engineering. Our engineer has worked with the best in the music and film industry as well as producing spots for Ford, Cambell's, national supermarket chains and almost every major television network. We have extensive experience with commercials, documentaries, televison programming and feature film.
